In response to the COVID-19 crisis, many Melbourne restaurants are this week offering non-contact home delivery services, supplying pasta sauces, take-home lasagne, slow cooked ribs, Humpty Doo barramundi, discounted wine and more.

in case you may have forgotten, the world still is indeed your oyster – and we can buy electronically! As the supermarket shelves this week appear all but emptied, we recommend a decent bottle of plonk (for the anti oxidants), a good movie and some fine bites to share at home with your loved ones. Scott Pickett’s Northcote neighbourhood icon Estelle is offering pick up options and non-contact home delivery for those within a three kilometres radius. The changing menu will feature Estelle classics such as lobster bisque with lemon myrtle Chantilly, hand-cut wagyu bolognaise pasta, and a four cheese toasted sandwich for guests to enjoy without leaving the house.

For those who want to bring the restaurant experience home, Windsor’s favourite Italian local Tipico is selling it’s Sugo jar for $10 and introducing a $30 take-home lasagne that feeds two. Lasagne orders must be placed 48 hours in advance. Arrange to pick up from the restaurant or for a $5 delivery fee, Tipico will personally deliver orders to surrounding suburbs including Malvern, South Yarra and Armadale.
